Stress is something many people experience in modern life, but from a classical perspective it is understood quite differently.
In this episode, Karin begins by exploring stress through an Ayurvedic lens, breaking it down from a doshic perspective. She explains how imbalances in the doshas can show up as different patterns of stress in the body and mind, and how Ayurveda works with diet, lifestyle, and daily routine to help bring the system back toward balance.
Sharol then shares the yogic understanding of stress. In Yoga, stress is not seen as something coming from external situations, but as the way the body, mind, and energy respond when the system is not functioning in balance. Sharol speaks about how yogic practices help bring stability to the body, breath, and pranic system so that we are better able to handle life’s situations with greater ease.
Practices mentioned in this episode:

Karin then offers an introduction to Ayurvedic purification, explaining the powerful process of Panchakarma and how Ayurveda approaches cleansing in a personalised, systematic, and therapeutic way - ensuring the doshas are in balance.
